    MISSION STATEMENT

Through the Deschutes Historical Museum, we bring the community a vibrant museum and community center dedicated to education, research, and appreciation for our unique history, a living legacy that grows with each new generation. By carefully preserving tens of thousands of images, artifacts, and archival papers generated by Deschutes pioneers—of the past, present and future—we capture the important stories that celebrate our shared heritage. With every field trip, every History Pub program, and every exhibit, we get to share these stories with the community and our visitors.
