    MISSION STATEMENT
    This society is a non-profit corporation formed from a multitude of conservatory groups who have a
    major commitment in the salvation of the wild bird population who utilize the salt lake ecosystem for
    food energetics, nutritional growth and nesting habitat. In the Lake Abert ecosystem the brine shrimp and brine fly larvae constitute the major food sources that support these two conditions. These food sources require that the lake system be aquatic and healthy with the chemical concentration of salts in the non-toxic range of 80 to 100 grams of salt per liter.
    WHAT CAN YOUR DONATIONS DO?
    Creating a network of science and conservation agencies to partner with our Foundation in the formation of a new management agency that will aid the Governor of the State of Oregon in curtailing the impact of drought upon the complete dessication of Lake Abert. This project will focus on removal or modification of the earthen damn’s control of fresh
    water diversion of the lower Chewaucan River other than to keep Lake Abert’s surface level at 4,250 ft. above sea level. Establishing workshops with Hagerman Genetic Laboratory, Idaho to be conduced at the HLAAF headquarters building, Camp Sherman, Oregon, for the discussion of new genetic pathways being discovered in kokanee and sockeye fish gills and other important tissues.

    MISSION STATEMENT
    The Human Dignity Coalition (HDC) has been promoting and protecting the rights of Central Oregon’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community since 1992. Though Oregon has achieved many victories—from non- discrimination ordinances and marriage equality to anti-bullying legislation and healthcare coverage—many LGBTQ people still face discrimination in the workplace, schools, and hospitals. HDC offers workshops and trainings, provides support for LGBTQ youth and transgender adults, organizes the annual Pride Festival and other events, and works with allied social justice organizations to make Bend and Central Oregon a more just and equal place for all.

    Human Dignity Coalition is 100 percent volunteer-run. Your donations support our small office in Bend’s Social Justice Center; help us put on events to bring the community together; enable us to offer cultural awareness trainings to educators, employers and other service providers; and ensure that Central Oregon’s LGBTQ community continues to thrive.

    MISSION STATEMENT

    Facilitating Positive Change for Youth

    A residential treatment program for adjudicated teen boys, providing an opportunity to restructure thinking, succeed academically, and grow in responsibility. The newest initiative, a vocational program, is nearing completion. By providing vocational training in addition to a strong academic curriculum, the opportunity for gainful employment increases. Meaningful employment reduces the likelihood of engaging in criminal behavior and the training helps to build a workforce. Help boys who have made poor choices build a brighter future and become contributing members of the community. We are J Bar J Youth Services.

    WHAT CAN YOUR DONATIONS DO?

    The newest initiative, a vocation school for The Learning Center, which will be breaking ground soon on the Boys Ranch property. By provid- ing vocational training in addition to a strong academic curriculum, the opportunity for gainful employment increases.     MISSION STATEMENT
    Kemple Clinic’s mission is to eliminate pediatric oral disease in our community. We are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children in Central Oregon by facilitating critical preventative, educational and dental treatment services for children whose families cannot access basic dental care. Working with more than 70 local volunteer dentists, we also deliver acute dental treatment services to qualified children in Central Oregon. We know education is power so we focus on early intervention and prevention services that are unique to the Central Oregon community, providing on-site clinic hygiene services as well as off-site screening and sealant programs in schools throughout the region. All to ensure every child in our region has a bright smile and a bright future.
    WHAT CAN YOUR DONATIONS DO?

    $25 purchases hygiene supplies (toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste) for 40 children
    $50 provides one child with preventative services including fluoride, x-rays and cleanings
    $200 provides one child with significant preventative care, including screening, cleaning, X-rays, and risk assessment and referral.
    $500 reimburses a portion of our volunteer dentists’ time for treating more extensive, complicated patient needs. We manage over 100 of these cases each year.

    MISSION STATEMENT

    KIDS (Kids Intervention and Diagnostic Service) Center provides medical evaluations, forensic interviews, family support, and ther- apy for children who have or may be experiencing child abuse or have witnessed domestic violence in Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook, Harney, Sherman and Wheeler Counties. These services are provided at no cost to the family. KIDS Center also provides a region-wide prevention and education program to help adults learn how to keep kids safe from abuse.

Our purpose is connecting families with needed support during a time of challenge, including possible job loss, serious illness, homelessness, or other issues that complicate parenting. Providing support in those times of need can help keep the family together.
